Service Closed

The Habbo Shop will be closed temporarily due to shipment.

The Habbo Shop, our Furni Shop in Habbo Hotel will be closed on 19 March, 20 March 2100 hrs NY. The reason for this closure is due to the shipment for more goods as we'd not enough goods to go on selling. Therefore, the Furni section of the catalouge will be removed for this 2 days and it will be back on 20 March after 2100 hrs NY.

Don't worry about the pet shop, market place and the Habbo Exchange, they will be still available for all purchases, and you can even sell in the MarketPlace your Mode, Iced, Loge, pura furni and others in the catalouge! They can only sell them on this 2 days only, better spend this 2 days WISELY! Enjoy Marketing and keep caring for your furry friends! ;)

Hotel Garden Discovery

Recently, we've asked Habbo explorers to discover what's in the middle of the Hotel Garden - a mysterious garden as the snow melted after the Hablympics 2010. Palace Garden Room Competition

We asked Habbos to design the Palace Garden for the Alhambra Palace. Now, the start of the Alhambra is done. Thanks to the magnificent De Royal Palace Garden by Crazy-Frog!

This is the second part out of the seven parts of the Alhambra Palace. We've picked a design from one Habbo to add into the Alhambra Palace, the Habbo is DivineBoyZ with his Royal Entrance De Alhambra, that will sure bring elegance to the whole royal palace.

What comes up to your mind when you think of Beanstalk is about their health - in particular hunger. However, scientific research have been done and health isn't the only important factor. Another important factor is CARE. Plants without care would be unhealthy and those fertilizers would be such a waste. How to take care of plants and how to make all plants well? That's your job.

Caring Plants Poster Alt Competition

Perfect Plantation

Plants grow well only in certain conditions, well same applies to those beanstalks!

Plants grow well in somewhere with sufficient sunlight, ample supply of damp soil and somewhere that have a tropical climate - but not too hot! For our beanstalks case, it's the same. These beanstalks are actually kinda related to bean sprout, but except they grow huge not like a bean sprout. They also have thick stems that stores water. That's why if you want to make the bean sprout more healthier rather than the automatically-watering system in your beanstalk, why don't you build a beanstalk Plantation for them? So that other Habbos can use it as well. After all those watering only makes your plant average. ;)

A fit for those royalty Alhambra family

Hunger is the most important factor in the lives of people. Of course the Alhambra family loved to have their dinner royal and they enjoyed having dinners with their family. Today's designing competiton is to make a Kitchen with dinning hall!

Mysteriously Miracle

What is this? A ant-eater plant?!

Mysteriously yesterday, we found some strange-looking plant "monsters" lying all over our Hotel entrance, the plant had sharp teeth as if they're some blood-sucking creatures from outer space. They aren't in the Habbo encyclopedia, and they have a strange voice as well. Those plants were all over the hotel that we have to carry them to our warehouse - to prevent any complaints and to prevent our reputation from dropping even more.

So we're giving out these plants for free - as a gift for you on March, 29. That's the only day you'd be receiving these 3 types of plants and whoever didn't log into Habbo will not receive it sadly. :( So, see you on March 29 with your weird and strange plants! We'd be revealing their identity on the day before it as we need to do some research on these plants. :)

Habbo Exchange Changes

Add in 1 credit for your exchanged coins!

From now onwards, the Habbo Exchange prices will have another 1 credit added. This reason is that the Habbo Exchange is rather suffering from a coin shortage and we need to cut down our usage. As from today, here's the new prices for the Habbo Exchange:

- 1 Bronze Coin for 2 credits instead of 1 credit
- 1 Silver Coin for 6 credits instead of 5 credits
- 1 Gold Coin for 11 credits instead of 10 credits
- 1 Sack of coins for 21 credits instead of 20 credits

After asking Habbos to design the entrance to the Alhambra Castle, we need to move on. According to the designing facts, after the entrance is usually the living room or the lounge. Green leaves cover the fields, with great flowers that smelled galore.

Surprising, it seems that the Weather Scientist have been making tricks on us. We've discovered - thanks to the janitors outside, that the hotel is completely in Spring! That means, all the snow have melted! We're so sorry but we've to cancel the Slalom event and the closing ceremony will go on as usual, however instead of hosting it in the snow, it would be in the spring.

However, it seems that the melting snow has uncovered the entrance to a never-before-discovered section of the hotel gardens, and we're keen on investigating. So if you're a Habbo who's not scared of a little walk in the park, then get your lanterns and suntan lotion and come and join us!

Well, while we're still waiting for your Palace Garden design, we're still drooling all over on what you Habbos' palace garden would look like. In addition, the fact that we're running out of time, as the Alhambra family were impatient and wanted this to be done ASAP, we thought maybe you can build us a Palace entrance as well...

Palace Entrance Room Competition

Build a Alhambra Palace Entrance (large room - 50 habbos max.). Using the Alhambra, Shalimar furni and other types of furni that aid in your design, build a finest Palace entrance, that'd be a fit for the Royal Alhambra family. The room should be not locked at all times, as for us to take a look in the box.

After designing and building a room, take a screenshot and send the screenshot to competitions.ny@sulake.com with the email header as "Palace Entrance Room Competition". Include your habbo name, attached screenshot and 100-word description of your room in your email. Failure results to disqualification. Movie posters for the extraordinary Habbo award movies

The Habbo Movie Festival Awards 2010 is just in a few more days, and great Movies for the Habbo Movie award should also have a great, appealing and magnificent movie poster to publicise the movie. You wouldn't want a simple poster for Avatar, you know.

In the time passing as we wait for your Film Submissions, We thought we'd give others a chance to show their artistic prowess. One of the favorite things about movies that stays in our memory...is the box art, or poster for a movie!

Movie Poster Art Competition

That's right! Now you can recreate your favourite movie of 2009 in movie poster format! Create a movie poster of any movie of 2009. The movie poster should be 420x595 pixels large or less, saved in a .GIF or .PNG format. Send your pixelized movie poster to competitions.ny@sulake.com with the subject line "Movie Poster". In your email, include your Habbo name, movie of your poster, and the description of your poster and why does it looks appealing to us.

Send your pixelized movie poster before the submission dateline: 8 March, 1200 hrs (NY). The three winners will receive the Movies Badge and a set of Movie Poster Stickers as seen below! You can also use the Movie Poster Stickers as an example for creating your movie poster. The three movie posters will be highlighted on the Habbo Movies Festival 2010 group page.

Melting Ice

The Ice is melting alway soon, and you know what that means..

The private scientist have a bad eavesdropping news. He said that after he had done research and detailed weather research, he concluded that he predicted the snow to melt by monday, around the evening. We all know that this would affect the closing ceremony. Therefore, we will be pushing the closing ceremony in the Slalom event, and the slalom event will be right before this closing ceremony. Should you have any enquiries on the timing of the Slalom event and the closing ceremony, please check the Events schedule.

In addition, the Arctic Furni will be removed on Monday, 8 March, around noon time (before it all melts, it would be such a pity). So better stock your Arctic furni up for any other winter events coming right up.

Kings And Queens

Jinn and Marida, the king and the queen of the Royal Alhambra Family.

A while ago now you might remember when a strange and mysterious Arabian palace arrived at Habbo Hotel. Well, it seems to have returned (wonder where Jinn is?) but looks like it has been abandoned. We need your help in getting the palace back into shape, that's why we've added the Alhambra and Shalimar furniture lines to the Catalog along with TWO new items to the Alhambra set (Wall and Floor Tile).

So, the main purpose of this whole campaign of the Alhambra's request was to design their whole palace as mentioned in the campaign introduction article. If you helped them out, you might find a reward for yourself by them! Isn't it swell idea? ;)

Palace Garden Room Competition

We should always start things from outside. Thus, outside a palace is usually the Palace Garden or sometimes the Palace Entrance. But the Alhambra preferred the garden before the entrance.

Your job: Build a large room Palace Garden (50 habbos max.), with your room unlocked at all time. The room should be decorated with the Alhambra and Shalimar furni line and others too. Failure in having any Alhambra or Shalimar furni in the design will be a lead to disqualification. Send us your screenshot of your palace garden to competitions.ny@sulake.com with the email header as Alhambra Palace Garden. In your email, include your Habbo name, attached screenshot (.PNG format, please), and a 100-word description of your room concept and design.

Send in your entries before 10 March, 0000 hrs (NY). Failure in these requirements stated may result in a disqualification as well. So send it before the submission dateline. Do check the submission guidelines on screenshot requirements.

Alhambra Castle Arrived

The Alhambra's here to rock, but needs some construction.

We've received news from our guests that there's an Indian family walking around our hotel zen garden creating a big commotion, which is very disruptive to our customers in our Hotel. We're surprised that it turned out to be the Alhambra family, and each and everyone in the family is at the top of the Indian hierarchy in the early years of India. One of the royal families in India, they're here in Habbo Hotel to discuss, not for entertainment purposes! ;p

They needed help in their castle. They're building their new castle as their castle is run-down and dilapidated, they couldn't afford to live there - so picky, though. So the Alhambra need your help.

They're now still thinking on the castle, so give them time and you might find rewards after helping them in their construction! Great way for earning. ;)

Habbo Movies Festival

Roll out the red carpet for a two week celebration of movies! Create your own films, join the fun and win great prizes!

It's been quite a year for the movie business. Actually, 2009 was the biggest year ever! That's quite spectacular considering things like DVD's, Video games and the internet are very entertaining in their own right. But thanks to movies like Twilight and Avatar, people flocked to the theater last year. The box office then skyrocketed...setting a North American record in 2009.
As you can probably tell, us Habbo Staff have a deep attachment and love for movies.

We've even run events and games specifically around the concept of 'B-Movies'. With the Academy Awards just around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge what makes movies awesome! So...for the next couple weeks, we'll be hosting several events, competitions and polls revolving around movies. But for now, enough talk! Let's go make some of our own!

Make a Movie Competition

It's been long on our minds to expand our Habbo US YouTube Channel with as much user content as possible. With that, comes our first film competition of 2010. We want you to make a short film for our YouTube Channel and Habbo Movie Group page! It's easy to make a movie nowadays, but follow these specific rules for the competition...
Rules:

1) Your movie must be less than 3 minutes long.
2) You can use in-game, or real life footage (but you cannot show real life faces).
3) Tell a unique story with or without a Habbo theme (we will also accept commercials, trailers and spoofs).
4) The Director must include their Habbo name somewhere in the video to prevent plagiarism...especially for real-life film submissions (do not steal other peoples movies).
5) Upload your video to YouTube, then place the URL from your movie into the poll below. Be sure to title your film on YouTube and give appropriate credits to the Director and other participants.

Deadline for the competition is Monday, March 8th @ 9am PT. There will be a voting competition for best 'Habbo Theme' film, and 'Unique Story Film' later that week. More information on specific times will be posted later.

Winners will receive an exclusive Directors Badge and Movies Badge, along with a full set of Movie Poster Stickers (as seen below) and 2 Months Habbo Club! Your film will also become a permanent addition to our Habbo US YouTube Channel and Habbo Movie Group.

The films Director can assign up to 5 Habbos to join them for a Film Ceremony to take place after the voting is complete. These 5 Habbos must have assisted in the creation of your film, and will also receive the Movies Badge.
We've also added the entire Habbowood furni line to the Catalog for all you aspiring Directors.

Have you thought joining Habbo Club but you are still not sure if the exclusive line of clothing is really you? You can now try them out in the client!

Head to Hotel, click your head in the menu, choose "Change your clothes", then have fun trying on different pieces of HC only clothing and accessories!

But remember, without the HC membership you cannot save your HC outfit... That means you've to have a superb memory of your outfit or else your fashion creation would be over, over, over! Good news is, if you like what you see, you can join Habbo Club and BAM, you are free to save and show off your new clothes to your friends! This is obviously not the only thing you get by joining HC, but certainly one way to tell if you really are ready to enter the VIP class...

It's a problem that some stumble across more often than others, but ultimately we all do at some point. We're in a room, having fun and we only notice our friend requests once we've already left the room... How can we possibly remember who all the friend requests are from??

The new friend request bubble feature aims to help by showing you exactly who has sent you a friend request, right there and then. Before you start worrying that all these bubbles are going to get out of control and become annoying, we'd like to tell you about how you can use them.

* You can simply choose to accept or ignore the friend request straight away.

* You can hover your mouse over the bubble and then move it away. 

* You can drag the bubble to the side of your screen.

Remember that you can also disable/enable Friend Requests in your Preferences if you feel particularly anti-social one day! Get in there and try it out!

Break A Leg!

Build your own team room for your OWN TEAM!

A team needs to rest and get bonded everyday of the whole hablympics. So, wouldn't it be great and fun? That's the key to a success in your team!

Build a team room of your own team, small room (25 habbos max.). Take a screenshot of it, and save the file in .PNG format only. Send the file to competitions.ny@sulake.com with the email header as "Team Room - (Your Team Name here)". In your email, include your Habbo name, attached file of your screenshot, room name and 50-word description of your room and why should your team choose this room. The closing dateline for submission for this competiton is 4 March, 2359 hrs. Failure in this criteria will lead to disqualification.

There'd be 8 winners, 2 entries would be annouced per day. Just send one entry will do. If you didn't got selected for the next day, do not panick and send again. We'd be gathering all entries and pick again - in other words, select from the whole list again and get the winning entries.

The winning entry will get a gold medal sticker, 15 Habbo credits and 5 Habbo points. Make your team shine in GOLD.

Cheer For Your Team

Looks like you need some manpower...

Who wouldn't want your loved ones or your pals to honk behind you? Cheer for you? Wish you all the best? And instead of screaming throughout the whole hablympics, it might be tiring that could hurt your throat. A banner is a form of convenience to support your team, you need not produce sound, but you produce your love for your pal or loved one. Looking at the current scores, all teams aren't competitive enough. We need some power here. That's why we need your banner to push them to greater heights and achieve more points FOR YOUR TEAM.

This task is simple. Create a banner alt of less than 800x800 pixels - it could be big or small, whatever size matters as long it doesn't exceed 800x800 pixels. The banner alt must be in .PNG format or .JPG format, make sure your image colours are affected in the formating. Name your alt as "(Habbo name)_(Name of banner)_(Team e.g. CoolCats, SnowEmpire)". Send your banner alt to "competitions.ny@sulake.com" with your email header as "Hablympics banner 2010 - (Team name e.g. Cool Cats)". In your email, please include your attached file - consisting only your alt, your Habbo name, Team name, and 100-word description on your banner alt. The closing dateline for submission is 7 March, 0000 hrs. Any entries who do not follow the criteria will be disqualified from this competition.

Marking Rubrics

- CREATIVITY & DESIGN
We want your originals. Plagiarism alt will lead to failure in this section. We also want unique, creativity and nice designs of your banner alt. If your alt only shows a Habbo skating with a word GO on the alt, you'll not fulfill the criteria much. Your alt must be nice, CREATIVE - Unique and impressive.

- EFFORT IN BANNER ALT
We can see your effort placed in the banner through your submission. To fulfill this criteria, do make sure you make a detailed and great description of your banner in your email. The banner also must be nice and not simple. Simplicity leads to failure. If you put a word "Cool Cats Go" in the banner only, you tend to get a zero for this section of the marking rubrics.

The 5 winning entries will receive a Gold Medal sticker, a Geyser and 2 Habbo points.
